WHAT IT DOES
Mistral Large 4 is Mistral's flagship, released in public preview on October 6, 2026. It is a natively multimodal mixture-of-experts model with 1 trillion total parameters and 49 billion active per token, trained on 3,800 NVIDIA Grace Blackwell GPUs in European datacenters across more than 160 languages. Mistral pitches it for cybersecurity, finance, legal and engineering work, and reports 61.7% on DeepSWE v1.1, 93% on Cybench, and results ahead of GPT-6 Astra on vals.ai's Finance Agent v2 and Harvey's legal agent benchmark. It is available now in Mistral Studio and Le Chat at $1.36 per million input tokens and $4.18 per million output tokens. Mistral says open weights follow at the end of October, after safety testing with trusted partners and governments.
