How a frontier LLM took over a working robot
This team switched a customer robot deployment to frontier LLMs. A chatbot-class model handles the high-level reasoning, and fast computer vision code written by the model handles execution: a System 1 and System 2 split.
When a new situation comes up, the large model steps in and rewrites the pipeline, so the robot keeps learning on the job instead of waiting for retraining.
