Why the same prompt cost $1.78 with one AI and $57.34 with another
One prompt, a clear acrylic keyboard that builds itself key by key in three.js, handed to two frontier models. GPT 6.1 Sol finished in 11 minutes for $1.78. Sonnet 5.5 spun up 19 agents, burned through 207M input tokens, took 78 minutes and cost $57.34.
Both keyboards look close, which is the twist. For this task the pricier run bought slightly nicer color and detail, not a different result. Same prompt, 30x price gap.
