How This Solo Dev Rebuilt His Game's Entire Ocean
Seven weeks into building a solo fishing game, this update rebuilt the ocean from scratch, cutting over 2000 lines of shader code down to something that finally runs smoothly, with much better nighttime reflections. Dolphins, whales, and a wandering cargo ship can now appear far out at sea.
The whole project runs on Godot, with different AI tools handling logic, systems, and 3d modeling depending on the task, an unusual workflow for a one person team.
