This game turns real animals into trading cards from your camera
Snoutlas is a collecting game played on real animals. You point your camera at an animal, it identifies the species and the individual's colour and traits, and the photo becomes a trading card - on an iPhone with a Dynamic Island the card prints out of the notch like an instant photo and develops as you tilt the phone. The stray in this clip came out a 4% rare.
The builder made it because of the strays where he lives, where people stop seeing the same cat in the same courtyard after a while. The bet is that a rarity meter and a collection to fill turns noticing an animal into a habit, and that someone who stops for a photo today brings water next time. Planned next: stray and needs-help labels, and cards for animals in verified shelters that link to adoption info. There are no battles - the whole game is going outside and paying attention.
