Claude Opus 5 beat every LLM by knowing when to stop stacking
A researcher benchmarked ten leading LLMs on the same physics task: build the tallest tower from 30 noisy blocks. Claude Opus 5 won by figuring out it could stop early to protect a tall tower, while GPT-5.6 Sol kept gambling and toppling.
The benchmark is open-source with replays and full results, so the behavior is reproducible rather than a single headline.
