Claude started controlling this iPhone from the cloud
A developer started a session from the Claude app on his iPhone, and a few seconds later the agent began tapping through the phone in his hand on its own. The session ran in Claude's remote sandbox, while a device-control layer he is building connected it back to that same physical iPhone.
No Mac running, no cable, no simulator, just a cloud agent driving a real phone. It is an early proof of concept, but the core flow of a remote AI operating your actual device already works.
